We embrace the vitality of fresh food

Nourishing today

Thriving tomorrow

Community Gardening

Our Community Garden provides a safe, shared space for community members and third sector groups to learn about and participate in food growing to improve health and wellbeing.

At the Community Garden we offer opportunities to develop skills and knowledge around cultivating, harvesting, cooking and eating, enabling seldom heard groups to engage in social opportunities based around the growing and sharing of food and increased food choices.

Who are the gardens for?

Everyone is welcome, including:

  • Project participants – anyone taking part in our various health, wellbeing and employability programmes.

  • Visitors - it’s free to come and look around, have a picnic and enjoy the fresh air. You might also like to pick a vegetable or two.

  • Volunteers - we have lots of opportunities to get involved at the garden, experienced growers and beginners are welcome.

  • Community groups - we can organise volunteering days for local established groups and allocate some space in our beds or greenhouse for you

  • Companies - we can offer corporate team building days for organisations from all sectors.

Our community gardens offer people the chance to meet others, learn about the environment, participate in therapeutic activities, work together, grow and eat local food.  And most importantly enjoy time in a beautiful green space.
